I did my hair./ I curled my hair. 머리를 고데기 했다.

I teared up a little bit. 살짝 눈물이 글썽거렸다.

 

vulnerable

- weak and easily hurt(physically and mentally)

Ex. The location of the house makes it vulnerable to tsunami.

Ex. She is looking extra vulnerable today. I heard she got dumped yesterday. 그녀는 오늘따라 더 취약해보여. 어제 차였다고 들었어.

My boss asked me out. 상사가 데이트 신청했어. I don't think it just feel right. I doesn't feel right. 이게 맞나 싶어. (도덕적으로)

I heard she got stood up. 차이다, 약속에 안 나오다, 거절당하다. (bailed on : 은 약속에 안 나와서 취소된 거에 더 가깝, stood up 은 이성적으로 차인 느낌)

She deserves it. She's so condescending.(컨디센딩)그럴만 하지. 그녀는 너무 재수가 없어. (잘난 척, 허세)

I paid off my student loans. 학자금 대출을 다 갚았어.

Pay me back. 돈 갚아.

Can you pay me back tomorrow? 내일까지 갚을 수 있어?

 

You have to earn it. = You have to work for it. 너는 노력해야 해.

 

Putting in long hours(on a job or project) = working for a long time on it, or working for a long time each day.

Ex. You shouldn't expect to get a promotion if you don't put in long hours at work.

Ex. I've put in long hours for this. It took me almost 6 hours.

 

Dude! Well done! All your hard work paid off! 야 잘했어! 너가 지금까지 한 노력이 이제야 빛을 본다!

Not gonna lie, it feels good having my work recognized. 솔직히, 내 일을 알아봐주는 게 너무 기분이 좋아.
