hack it to pieces 그것을 갈기갈기 썰다, 박살내다.

be casual about 놀라거나 흥분하지 않았다고 지적할 때 많이 쓴다.

A: How are you being so casual about the news? You love this band! 이 소식을 듣고도 별 반응이 없네? 너 이 밴드 엄청 좋아하잖아!

B: Nah, I didn't like them that much. 에이, 그렇게 좋아하진 않았어.

catch on (사람이 catch on 한다고 쓰일 땐) 이해하다. (=realize 깨닫다, catch on (to something) ~을 이해하다.)

I catch on pretty fast to what peopel say. 전 사람들이 하는 말을 빨리 이해해요.

어떤 유행에 대해 말할 때에도 catch on을 쓴다.

big time 일상 생활에서는 '완전', '엄청난' 이라는 뜻으로 쓰인다. 동사 뒤에 쓰면 'a lot' 과 같은 뜻

Guys, Kenny messed it up big time. 얘들아, 케니가 완전 제대로 큰 실수 저질렀대.

명사 앞에 쓰면 '크게 성공한'이라는 형용사로 쓰인다. Ex) big time lawyer 잘 나가는 변호사/ big time star 대스타
